NF C 20-454 base environmental testing procedures. Fire behaviour. Analysis and titration of gases evolved
during pyrolysis or combustion of materials used in electrotechnics. Exposure to abnormal heat or fire. Tube
furnace method.
The test defined by this standard serves to define the conventional toxicity index (cti) of the gases emitted by
the insulating or sleeving materials during combustion at 800°C.
